Sorry folks, the Right is just as bad

Some of my acquintances rooted for Romney, Guliani, Huckabee and so forth during the last round of the Republican primaries. Of course, I'll bet the farm none of them do much research and read no policy journals. It was hard to convince them that the "conservatives" in government are statists who love not only big government but also the American empire.

Here, Lew Rockwell succintly sums up what every supposed small-government conservative should know: there's no difference between the two parties - they're all statists who want to run our lives and the world.

Super government spying center

The government is spending $1.5 billion of our money so they can more effectively listen to everything we say and look at everything we post. Millionaires leave Oregon

Just as they did a few years ago in Maryland, the affluent fled Oregon after the state jacked up the tax rates. Isn't it amazing how people who work hard and make pretty good dough want to keep it for some reason? So now Oregon collected $50 million less in revenues. Hmmm. Maybe that's why I saw a few Oregon license plates over the past few months.
