In a civilized society, should anyone or any government ever force anyone to do anything against his or her will as long as that person does not infringe upon the life, liberty, or property of another?

Tea Party video on You Tube

Thanks for coming out to the tax day Tea Party on Wednesday. It was a great sucess, with over 8,000 people showing up in downtown Houston. My speech is on You Tube. Just hit Videos and then type in Christopher Scott Tea Party and a list will come up. Don't forget to watch both parts!

Have you read some of the opposing views to the tea parties?

Yes I have. Many groups think the parties are sponsored by the right. This should be a non- partisan issue, since both sides are giving us the shaft. I may mention that in my speech. This is grassroots for me, since I don't like either side.

Greetings Mr. Scott,

Gotta love those lefties. Where's Ron Paul when we need him? A notable professor once said "the bailout will be an unmitigated disaster". When do you think they will stop?

Any thoughts?

Yes, and actually, there were some that had many speakers who were neocons. But most of the criticism,I think, is just politics. Dems trying to discount republicans. I don't like either party (and will post on it soon).

I attended the San Antonio Tea Party and was impressed by the quality of humanity I was in contact with there. This was my first "Rodeo" and it won't be my last. I am spitting mad over the media coverage afforded these events by the left-wing of this country. The absolute arrogance is astounding!!! I am even more pissed over the DHS memo that regards me and many of you as an "Extremist." The fact that someone is being paid very well to come up with that kind of crap is unbelievable!!! The established government sees us as unable and incapable of doing anything to stop them, or so they hope. My forefathers did not come willingly to this country (Acadians) but willingly fought and died to defend her in both the Revolutionary and Civil War. This has truly become a country I do not recognize. I am less concerned about parties, both are corrupt, but the meddle of the man or woman who would see their duty as service to their fellowman. I believe in term limits, no retirement and limited funding for running for office. This would allow good people to compete and would abolish special interests. I believe we can get people who are competent by paying a fair wage for the job(s), reasonable travel expenses and medical coverage ... all of this being voted and approved by the citizens for which they are employed by. I plan on becoming more involved as the opportunities are available to have my voice heard. If my rights are taken it won't be without a fight.

Yes I have. The way to debunk the thought that these are a reaction to Obama and Obama alone is to keep them going. I bashed W for 8 years, as I did Clinton. I've got W pegged as the 5th worst in history. The Obamable will try to top that - let's hope he doesn't succeed. I'm going to do my best to keep these "parties" going for a long time, no matter who's in office, since they're all bad.
