In a civilized society, should anyone or any government ever force anyone to do anything against his or her will as long as that person does not infringe upon the life, liberty, or property of another?

See what happens when the govt runs the economy?

Because of the government's use of cranky Keynesian economics, printing money out of thin air, and employing fractional reserve banking, the economy is in the skids and will get worse.  Read here how the middle class is disappearing quickly.  Which class will you be in someday - the upper class or the lower class?

Hi, Professor Scott, this is Essence. It does seem like the middle class is definitely decreasing. It's like, you either have money or you don't, or your either rich or poor.

Essence, what the Fed did last Thu pretty much doomed the middle class. Unlimited money printing means disaster.

Hi, Professor Cott,
What do you think about The Zeitgeist Movement? I want to join this group. Some of their ideas about the goverment sound like yours.

I'll look at the Zeitgeist movement again. Haven't for awhile. I'll get back to you.

Rosy, the Zeitgeist movement is not my cup of tea. They have no love for private property, which is the foundation of a free society. No property rights = disaster!
