As usual, the government can't manage to keep a track of our money. Read the depressing article on how they mismanaged $30 billion. Tragic.
In a civilized society, should anyone or any government ever force anyone to do anything against his or her will as long as that person does not infringe upon the life, liberty, or property of another?

Another "great" government program is almost insolvent
Virtually all government programs have two distinct characteristics: they are not well thought out, and they violate the property rights of American citizens. Read here about such a program, which is almost insolvent. Government can only give to one what it takes from another, as in this program, and thus violates our property rights. After the revolution, let's make sure we don't include any of these cranky programs again.

U.S. keeps killing abroad
Thanks to antiwar.com for a powerful article about the women and children who are being murdered - and then ignored by the U.S. mainstream media - by the U.S. armed forces as it chases down bad guys. The next Bin Laden is already alive and has hatred in his heart for what the U.S. military did to his family. An easy recruit for terrorists - no tough sell there. Time to listen to Ron Paul and leave the world alone.

Government cuts cell phone power
People in many countries are able to coordinate their activities, especially demonstrations, using cell phones, twitter, facebook, etc. Governments know this - and hate it. So the government in San Francisco, as you can read here, decided to cut power to cell phone towers so it would be more difficult for people to plan their demonstration. This is just the beginning. In the future, the federal government will do the same, and also go so far as to shut down the internet in the interests of "security" and to hinder "terrorism." Time to watch V for Vendetta again. As V said in the movie: "There's something terribly wrong with this country."

Another government program wasting taxpayer dollars
Is there no end to the folly of the U.S. government? In this article, you can read how they waste our money paying for empty flights to small airports. Millions down the drain. Tragic.

Tax the rich!
The government loves to play the envy game. Many people are envious of the rich, and the government uses that to their advantage (so they think). Thanks to lewrockwell.com for posting a great little article by Walter Williams. Read how the government pretty much destroyed, in search of more revenue, the yacht building industry here in America.

Tent cities grow as the Great Recession continues
Allegedly, the Great Recession ended (if you believe government statistics). But for millions of Americans, the recession continues, evidenced by the growth of tent cities around the country. You can read the article here, and make sure you check out the pictures!
U.S. debt is massive
As many have known for a long time, the U.S. has many other obligations it has to pay. When you total them, you see the staggering figure: well over $1oo trillion. Read the article here to see where the U.S. stands financially.

Jeff Tucker nails it
A fantastic article appeared on mises.org today. Jeff Tucker hits the nail on the head when he writes how the Austrians predicted it all and the Keynesians are all washed up. And to think that while I'm teaching history, some knucklehead is teaching all those Keynesian untruths next door. Ugh! Read Jeff's great article here.

Ron Paul predicted 9/11 many times
As you can see here in this youtube video, Ron Paul, the Jefferson of our time, warned that we should leave others alone. If we don't, he said, we invite terrorist attack and blowback. Too bad the American sheeple don't want him as president.
