Jefferson was pro-natural rights and anti-force

Thomas Jefferson wrote to Francis W. Gilmer in 1816:
"Our legislators are not sufficiently apprized of the rightful limits of their power; that their true office is to declare and enforce only our natural rights . . . and to take none of them from us. No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal rights of another; and this is all from which the laws ought to restrain him . . . and the idea is quite unfounded, that on entering into society we give up any natural right."

World Cup needs instant replay

Although not politics (even though many governments get involved in their country's soccer team), a statement about the World Cup is needed. It's time to use instant replay since the officials are terrible. Adu's (U.S.) goal was nullified because he was called offside when he wasn't; England's goal was not counted because the official missed that it was one foot over the line (would have been the equalizer against Germany); and Moller got a yellow card for a ball that he unintentially let hit his upper arm (Germany was way ahead at the time, the end of the game, so it was a non-factor), he then missed the match against Spain which dramatically impacted Germany's offense.

IT IS TIME FOR REPLAY! Let's get with the times, FIFA - it's not 1930 anymore.

The US empire and its little twin, Israel, are gearing up for more war and endless intervention in the Middle East. As you can read here, the US taxpayer will now pay for the Israeli missile defense. Glad to help out, boys.

Yet another massive government failure

Somehow, the U.S. government got into the business of telling us what we can and cannot put into our bodies. And of course, they are hypocritical about it - "allowing" us to drink alcohol while refusing other drugs.

But their efforts have done lots of good, right? Think again. As you can read here, they've accomplished nothing. Can we have our trillion dollars back?

Fannie Mae wants more of our money

Why did the government ever get into the "you-ought-to-own-a-home-and-we'll-make-it-easy-for-you" business? The knuckleheads in D.C. created the Federal National Mortgage Association, nicknamed "Fannie Mae." Well, you can't run government like a business because of the lack of prices, so walaah! - it's now broke. In fact, they want billions more of our money to stay afloat, as you can read here.

If the government had just followed the Constitution, which doesn't mention home ownership, we wouldn't have Fannie taking so much of our money.
